A Blogging Award!

I was very touched to read in my comments that I been nominated for a blogging award by Vicky from Mudpies and Marmalade! The award is for small bloggers with less than 200 readers that inspire others. I was particularly chuffed to think that I inspire someone, especially as my blogging is somewhat eratic at the moment and the content varies a little according to how busy life begins to be!

If you receive the award you should:

1. copy and paste the award on your blog

2. thank the giver and link back to them
3. reveal your top 5 picks and let them know by leaving a comment on their blog
4. hope that your followers will spread the love to other bloggers

OK, well I can't find the html to copy and paste the award to my blog so if anyone can shed light on where to find it I will update!

I am not doing very much blog reading or blog hopping at present and don't have five blogs with less than 200 readers to nominate, but here are two that I think worthy of an award!

P.S. I have just spell checked this and found it very funny that blogger did not recognise 'blog', 'blogger' or 'blogging' as words! ha ha!

Blogger Awards

I have just discovered that I have been honoured to receive two awards from fellow bloggers! They are:

• Outstanding Blogger Award from Sandy at Raising Ian
• Versatile Blogger Award from Bea at All Join In

I am so pleased and surprised and happy that others appreciate my blogging - thank you so much Sandy and Bea!!  There are rules to receiving the awards...... say thank you (done) and share seven things about myself so here goes........ in no particular order!!

1. I have always loved horses, they are the most beautiful wonderful animals.
2. When I was a teenager I wanted to marry a man with a more unusual name - I got my wish!
3. I dream about upping sticks and moving to some really remote place in the Scottish Highlands and living the simple life!
4. I have a weird thing where when I buy something I have to choose the third one back (not food though.... that would make the shopping waaaaay too long!)!
5. I love eating Christmas cake with Cheddar cheese!
6. My big brother emigrated to Canada to marry his lovely wife Lorri...... I still can't quite forgive him!!
7. I am a Christian and God plays an important part in my life.

I now have to pass the awards on to 15 bloggers that deserve it.  I have to confess that I recently trimmed my blogroll somewhat to reflect my current reading interests and I'm not sure that I have 30 on roll any more (is that a huge faux pas to admit in blog land?? Hope not!) I will do my best to list 15 that truly are great!

• Meg at Sew Liberated for writing like best friends chatting over a cuppa and for resisting over-commercialising her fabulous blog!
• Progressive Pioneer is like watching a favourite film or wearing your favourite jumper - love it!

• Cultivated Lives - I'm new to this blog but intrigues by it and looking forwards to more!
